| Our annual garage sale was a success. The band raised $3,300. Large group concert was in Newton on May 8th. Our band received a I rating! Congratulations to the band and directors. |

Marching Band Reading Night and Band Parent Information
Wednesday, June 9, 2010 – 7:00 PM Roosevelt Auditorium
We would like to welcome you to the 2010-11 season for the Roosevelt Band. Next year looks to be one of the
most exciting years for our band in school history. We move into our new band room next fall which has been
under construction for almost 2 years. It is state of the art with many options and incredible space which will
benefit our students immensely. The size of our band is over 150 and will be the largest band in over 40 years.
Our curriculum will offer many options for our students to excel and to improve as musicians and students. We
will be taking a trip to a National Contest in March to Anaheim / Los Angeles CA . So many things are exciting
for next year and we are so happy that you have chosen to be a part of our band next year.
On Wednesday, June 9 we will be having a short rehearsal and a parent information meeting for all members
in the band and their families. We will make sure everyone has the correct music for marching band and it will
give us the opportunity to play through the show and let the parents hear the music for the first time. We will
also have all the information about band and next falls marching band season available so you know exactly
the requirements and expectation for next year. If you have any questions please contact the band directors
